## Domain settings

The Domain Settings page lets you customize how Linkody tracks and reports data for each domain individually.

## Available settings

### Edit note
Add or update a note associated with the domain. Notes are visible in the [Domains Report](/content/helpcenter/en/articles/11052049-managing-domains/index.html) via the note icon.

### Set an old redirected domain
If you've redirected an old domain to this one (e.g., from `my-old-domain.com` to `my-new-domain.com`), enter the old domain here.

Linkody will track backlinks pointing to the old domain as if they target the new one.

### Set a link-building budget
You can define a **budget** for each domain to track your spending on link acquisition.

When a budget is set:

- A **Budget/Cost** column appears in the Domains Report.
- The **Cost** value reflects the total of all link costs added for that domain.
- If the total cost exceeds the defined budget, the value is highlighted **in red** to signal overspending.

This helps you monitor and manage link-building expenses directly in Linkody.

### Enable/disable automatic discovery of new links
Toggle whether Linkody should automatically find and add new backlinks for this domain.

### Enable/disable email reports for new links
Choose whether to receive email notifications when the **status** of newly discovered links changes.

Disabling this can help reduce noise if you only want alerts for manually added links.

## Summary

Domain settings give you fine-grained control over how each domain is monitored and reported. Use them to adapt Linkody’s behavior to fit your link building strategy and workflow.
