# Understanding the Links Report

Discover how Linkody's Links Report helps you analyze, track, and manage your backlinks effortlessly.

Updated over a week ago

The **Links Report** is your central dashboard to view, analyze, and manage all backlinks for your domains. It offers detailed insights into each link’s attributes, status, and SEO value.

# What you’ll see in the report

Each row in the Links Report represents a backlink with detailed data to help you understand its role and impact.

## Link attributes

- **Anchor text** – The clickable text of the link
- **Rel attribute** – e.g., dofollow, nofollow, sponsored, UGC
- **Source page (title + URL)** – The page where the link is placed
- **Target page (URL)** – The page being linked to
- **Contact** – The person associated with the link (if specified)
- **Cost** – The cost of acquiring the link (if specified)
- **Date added** – When the link was added to your account

## Status

- **OK** – The link is live and as expected
- **Error** – The link is broken or there’s another issue (see [Understanding statuses](/content/helpcenter/en/articles/11719451-understanding-metrics-and-statuses-in-linkody-reports/index.html) for details)

## Seo metrics

- **Ahrefs DR** (Ahrefs Domain Rating) — a 0–100 score of the linking domain’s backlink strength, fetched automatically from Ahrefs (no account needed).
- **Moz DA (Domain Authority)**
- **Moz PA (Page Authority)**
- **Spam Score**
- **IP address & country**
- **TLD (top-level domain)**
- **EFL (external followed links)**
- **Last live date** – When the link was last found live
- **Ranking** – Popularity score from [Tranco](https://tranco-list.eu/)
- **Google index status** – Whether the source page is indexed in Google

👉 **About the Google index status**
Linkody includes the Google index status as part of its backlink analysis; however, this is not the primary purpose of the tool. We perform a single check per page, which means there is a low chance of false negatives — a page may appear unindexed when it is actually indexed in a different Google datacenter. This is rare and usually temporary. The indexing status is refreshed automatically every **14 days**. For more advanced and dedicated indexing monitoring, consider using a specialized tool like [IndexCheckr](https://indexcheckr.com/).

See [Understanding metrics and statuses](/content/helpcenter/en/articles/11719451-understanding-metrics-and-statuses-in-linkody-reports/index.html) for details.

## Notes & tags

Links can have custom **notes** and **tags**, visible via icons in the table. These help with organization, collaboration, or tracking manual changes.

Click on the notes icon to visualize or add a note.

Click on the tag icon to visualize or add a tag. See [Using tags to organize your links](/content/helpcenter/en/articles/11470699-using-tags-to-organize-your-links/index.html).

# Report scope: one domain or all domains

You can view the Links Report for:

- **All your domains combined**
- **One specific domain**

When using the “All Domains Combined” view:

- An extra **Domain column** is shown
- This lets you manage backlinks across all domains at once

For example, you can filter all the links added by your team across all your projects.

# Multiple links from the same referring page

A single referring page can contain multiple backlinks to your site. Linkody tracks each backlink **individually**, even if they come from the same page.

For example, if a sponsored article contains:
- Link A → pointing to `/service-a`
- Link B → pointing to `/service-b`

Linkody will treat these as **two separate links**, because they have different target URLs.

## How to add multiple links from the same page

You can [add multiple links](/content/helpcenter/en/articles/11070043-adding-a-single-link/index.html) from the same referring page by adding the page multiple times — once for each target page.

Each link can have its own:
- Expected landing page
- Expected anchor
- Cost
- Contact
- Expiration date
- Tags and notes

## How this appears in reports

In the Links Report:
- Each backlink appears as its own row
- The same referring page URL can appear multiple times
- Each row corresponds to one target page on your site

This allows you to track the status, value, and performance of each link independently.

# Customizing Your Report

## Column Settings

You can **choose which columns** are visible to tailor the report to your workflow. Toggle on/off fields like Ahrefs DR, Moz DA, Moz PA, Spam Score, etc.

## Sorting

Click any column header to **sort the report** by that field—ascending or descending. Sort by DA to see high-authority links, or by Last Live Date to monitor recent updates.

# Filtering & searching

## Quick search

Search across:
- Anchor text
- Source page URL
- Target page URL
- Notes

By default, all these fields are searched together, but you can narrow it down to specific fields.

**Exclusion search** is also supported—find links that _don’t_ contain a specific string.

- Rel type
- Status
- Tags or notes

## Advanced filters

You can filter by:
1. Metrics such as Ahrefs DR, Moz DA, Moz PA, or Spam Score
2. Date added
3. User who added the link
4. Contact associated with the link (see _[Managing contacts](/content/helpcenter/en/articles/11813157-managing-contacts-in-linkody/index.html)_)

# Use cases & strategies

**1. Track link-building efforts**

**2. Monitor link quality**

**3. Recover lost links**
